About the role
You join a cohort of nine interns building Stage 2 of SiteDay, our field production software for sitework contractors, and you work the market for it. By week 6 you will know this buyer better than most of the engineering team, and what you learn goes straight into the Monday sync where it can change what gets built. The eight weeks run in three phases: weeks 1 and 2 you learn the codebase and help write the specification, weeks 3 to 6 you build your slice in parallel with the other tracks, and weeks 7 and 8 are integration, release and a demo you run yourself.
What you will learn
- Researching a market until you can describe a buyer's Tuesday morning
- Outreach that gets replies, which is mostly about deleting the sentences about yourself
- Qualifying honestly, including telling your own company a lead is not worth a call
- Discovery calls where you talk less than a third of the time
- Demoing software: what to show, in what order, what never to click
- Reading a pipeline with numbers instead of optimism
What we look for
- Strong written English and confidence on calls
- Interest in technology and how businesses operate
- Basic spreadsheet skills
What you would build
An ideal customer profile for sitework contractors, a researched 30-account target list, outreach sequences you work in our CRM, two recorded discovery calls, and the Stage 2 demo script rehearsed against the real build.
How the 8 weeks run
- Weeks 1 to 2: learn the codebase, read the specification, and ship one small change. The design intern produces the wireframes everyone else builds from
- Weeks 3 to 6: build your slice in parallel with the other eight tracks, reviewed weekly, with a mid-point review in week 4
- Weeks 7 to 8: integration, regression, and a release you demo to the company yourself
- Every week: a written daily standup, a Monday cohort sync, a 30-minute 1:1 with your mentor, and a Friday demo
